3 years

Hello!

So it's our 3rd year together!!

Oh mY GOD!

Can you believe it?

I can't either.

HAHAHAHHAHAA

Honestly speaking, I was oblivious when he first made his move, and I was still oblivious when he dropped obvious hints.

I consulted a few self-claimed professional relationship gurus about my situation back then when we had a girls trip to Melaka.

It wasn't him who asked me out, it was our friends lolol idiots playing with his phone so I dropped obvious hints that I accepted it and boom.

I wasn't so sure or convinced back then. Y'know, I just gave it a go and see if it'll work out between us and it did.

Hopefully it will continue to work out in the future.

It involved a lot of getting to know each other in the first year. The good and bad habits, the happy and don'ttalktome mood.

It wasn't a happy exciting relationship all the time, of course we had our bad and sensitive days sometimes so...

It needs a lot of commitment.

A lot of self-assurance.

A lot of trust.

A lot of loyalty.

A lot of patience to tolerate with our differences.

Honestly, we have very few things in common haha.

Music? Nope.
Hobbies? Hm, only a few.
Habits? SO different.
TV shows? Nope. Nada. None.
Anime? Only 1 or 2.

Therefore we had to tolerate a lot of our bullshit with each other. I'm glad it's with him and I cannot imagine tolerating and being with someone else. I also cannot imagine someone else tolerating my bullshit HAHAHA.

I didn't think we would have come this far.

It really takes up a loooooooooooooot of patience and commitment like hello would I sit down to watch sweaty guys chasing a big orange ball in a small rectangular area? No, I would rather sit down at a coffee shop and stare at well groomed men.

Would he shop at an all-female fashion store or even walk around the mall for hours? No, he would rather sleep and watch his sweaty guys playing with their big balls ball instead.

I'm also glad that we fight when we fight. Like one night if one of us isn't feeling right, we'll just drop the atomic bomb and just blow, followed by a few "sorry"(s) even though we totally didn't mean it but we just say it to prevent it from damaging further.

Or even though I'm just pissy at him because he gets to have fun and I get to have shit for the whole day instead. And vice versa.

Yes, I also almost called it quits about 2 or 3 times. Of course face to face this time and not the whole messaging through the phone thing. Of course I didn't do it just because I'm stupid and selfish although it's quite true but it's because I'm just tired of him being so busy all the time and we rarely have the time to talk to each other like we only exchanged 20 lines in a day max and it's hard you know.

Especially when I'm clingy!

But we didn't because he convinced me not to. Thank you!

It's still hard you know!

It's like being in a long distance relationship where we can only text each other at specific hours. But we're only like 10km apart. And we don't have specific hours because assignments are not your 9 to 5 desk jobs.

IT SUCKED.

Luckily we won't have to go through it again. Hopefully not.

Anyway, I'm glad we went through our university life together.

Let's hope working life doesn't rip us apart hahahhaa.

So we have this thing where we save RM10 each per week, so it's hit the RM1000 mark before but we kinda used it at some points for our trips.. so we're currently at like just below the RM1000 mark again after another year of saving.

I wanted to open a bank account at first because it's a shitload of money but y'know, a joint account is a major mojo business between 2 persons. If anything happens it'll be a pain in the ass to terminate it so.. yeah.

I think it's a good way to save money for the relationship. And also because dayum man ain't nobody got moneh to throw when we're young, dumb and free.

I am all here for them gym-in-the-morning and zap-fan lunch dates. I would also like to clarify that I am all for the splitting bill among couples for anything and everything even during our anniversary dinner dates/trips because HELLO IT'S 2018?!?!

I believe females should feel that they're equal with men?!?!? What is he?? Your ATM machine?!?! Unless you're married then yeah that will need another discussion.

We're also at the point where he met my family and I've met his family but of course at the awkward initial stage and not the okay-let's-chill-at-your-place kinda thing.

IT TAKES TIME OKAY I'M ONLY 21, SISTER.

But anyway, I did talk to him about my future plans that I'm going to retire once I have a kid HAHAHAHA let's see how it ends up in the crumbling economy of 2020s. I'm a girl who likes to dream big.

Well not really.

More like dreaming above average. I believe that wealth =/= happiness.

TLDR : Fate is bullshit. It's all about commitment and tolerance.
