Student Buddies!

We signed up impulsively for Student Buddies program when we saw our uni advertising it on Facebook lol. Yes it was kinda like "You go I go" kinda thing and yeah. It's something like being buddies with these group of Korean exchange students.

Pretty enjoyable HAHAHA.

So there are like few sessions every week, basically just spend time with them from 10am-12pm every session and do whatever you want to do with them. There's actually 2 universities and I was assigned to Seowon's at first but later changed to Hoseo.

We heard from the experienced students that Hoseo can be really rude and obnoxious lol so we were pretty worried at first. Usually they'll play games in the classroom and Seowon would be more friendly and polite and responsive and such Idk la my first time also.

The staff in charge asked us to prepare games and share with them our culture/traditional games and stuffs.

So we were like if I am an exchange student what would I want to do? Would I want to play batu seremban and congkak? LOL

I'd rather ask them to TAKE ME TO PLACES AND BRING ME SOME GOOD FOOD.

So we did.

This was our awkward first session whereby we introduced ourselves and played 2 rounds of ice breaking game before they requested to stop HAHAHA. So we brought them to the mamak nearby because we didn't know what else to do. Basically ordered almost everything in the mamak. Whatever roti they have, whatever roti we'll eat.

Next session, we took them to Central Market HAHAHA. FUCK GAMESSSSSSSSS WHO WANTS TO PLAY GAMES WHEN WE CAN GO AROUND KL.

The guys went for fish spa LOLOL and they almost wanted to buy these small cute rattan bags at mfking RM120 before I got the shock of my life and shoo-ed them away from the seller.

We introduced them the famous lala noodles, beef noodles and char siew siew yuk fan and they all preferred the char siew siew yuk fan HAHAHA. They couldn't stand our lala noodles. Beef noodles was okay. The girls ate sooooooooooooo little but the guys pretty much finished everything in sight.

We also took them to the famous duck rice besides Baskin Robbins and they all loved it surprisingly. I thought we wouldn't be able to finish the food because the portion was soooooooooo big but the 2 Korean guys pretty much inhaled everything because the girls ate extremely little.

We brought them to KLCC! We shared about our local standard of living with their's and wah so big difference. Their average part time job gives them RM30 per hour wtfakjdfalskfjasf so we were having mental breakdowns before we told them ours was RM6 per hour and it's their turn to have mental breakdowns instead HAHAHA.

"30?!?!"

"Come to Korea!!!"

Then they told us the average wedding there will cost you like RM300k and a normal medium cost apartment is around RM2 fking million so we're like

"RM2mil can get you a mansion in Malaysia.. and only RM20k to get married. Come here to get married!!"

They actually joined this program to learn English in Malaysia, so yeah their level isn't that good la. Like how you go overseas and try to buy stuffs with basic English. Around that level. The guys were pretty good though compared to others.

Then they said they wanted to go bowling so yeah we took them to Times Square. So expensive though T_T RM15, normal student price is only like what RM5 before 5pm.

It was really fun though because everyone's so high. This handsome bastard managed to get strike/spare for every single round. WHAT CAN HE NOT DO?!?! HOW IS HE SO FLAWLESS?!?!

Also I was probably the closest to the girl who held the camera which was really unexpected because she's the one who stopped us during our ice breaking game LOL. So I was like hmm I don't think I can even communicated with her. The rapper that has the best first impression for me turns out to be the hardest to talk to wtf.

But after some sessions and how the selfie girl tries her best to communicate in English, she's just painfully honest but can be nice to talk to. She saw my toy bear in the car the other day:

"Oh my God. So cute. Give me."

"No!!"

"Where to buy it?"

"Erm.... Miniso?"

"Does Leisure Mall have it?"

"Nope."

"Give this to me. Hahaha."

"No! My bf got it for me haha."

":O your bf?"

In Times Square:

"I want to buy it..."

"Okok let's go. We'll take you there."

We went to Low Yat because they told us that we'll have to wait 30 minutes for our meal to come but they sent us a picture of OUR DINNER ON THE TABLE when we were on the bridge.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO!!! HOWWWWW."

"ERMMMMMMM. We'll come back later??"

"Nooooo!! We're already halfway there! Let's go!! I MUST buy it!"

So we ran. Got the bear. Ran all the way back to Times Square again.

Then she found out that one of the bear's eyes had threads coming out of it so it looks like it's crying HAHAHAHAHA. She whined about it at first but accepted her fate later on since it's 'special' HAHAHA.

Okay la pretty good experience.

Also, the respect-your-elder culture is really prominent even in their small group lol. They literally depend on the older ones even though the age difference is only like what maximum 3 years apart for the girls.

Here no one would know who's older and just mingle around as long as we all have something to talk about kan but your age is the first thing they'll ask lol so they'll act cautiously around the older ones.

They're also very short hehehehehehhe.
