got my health checked

 Story time!

For those who haven't apply for a medical insurance yet, please do so ok we're going to be 30 soon and our body is aging although you can deny it mentally but do not joke with your own health ok.

WELL.

I was supposed to go back to office on Wednesday after a long CNY holiday, but I was feeling really dizzy. It started in the morning but I thought it's just like y'know, a one time off feeling when you stand up too fast after you lied down.

But it continued for the entire freaking day so I thought ok maybe I just didn't have the mood to go back to work after a long break lol or maybe I didn't have enough sleep.

I was still dizzy the next day!!! So I finally went to the clinic after lunch. Purposely avoided the panel clinic because they had a history of being very strict with giving out MCs hahahaha.

Got my blood test done and got an MC for the rest of the day. So I took the meds and went home.

My results showed that I have very low iron and possibly thalassaemia so I had to do ANOTHER more detailed blood test right after that to check on the thalassaemia.

A week later the results showed that I have beta thalassaemia. Fuck me lol.

Beta thalassemia is a blood disorder that reduces the production of hemoglobin . Hemoglobin is the iron-containing protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen to cells throughout the body. In people with beta thalassemia, low levels of hemoglobin lead to a lack of oxygen in many parts of the body.

That explains why I feel dizzy sometimes. At least now I can blame it on my blood if I don't feel well at work.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Got it from my dad.

Luckily it's nothing major but okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy that still sucks.

Those blood tests costed me 600 bucks ok I better be able to claim this shit.

I asked the doctor if there's any precautions I should take or pills or something but she just said oh just take care of your diet.

Sure. I just nodded and got out of there lol.

I think my diet at home has been really really extremely healthy to the point my blood even shows lack of sodium lol. I can't say anything because I'm not the one cooking so okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk *proceeds to add soy sauce on almost-hospital-food*

Now that the restrictions have been lifted and not as strict as before, we went hiking this morning!!!

It was hell.

Omg.

We could only hike half of what we used to with the same amount of time. At least it's still something. Now that I know I have thalassaemia, I packed some food with me lol. I used to hike while fasting and only eating lunch much later after that.

BUT BECAUSE I AM NOW MUCH OLDER.

SIGH.

I also went to the gym last weekend because I woke up too late and there were kids in the playground so I had no choice.

The entrance fees increased drastically from RM10 to RM freaking 20 so yup that was the last time I'm going there hahahahaa.

Again, I could only lift half of what I used to do.
