welcome to ma crib

 I moved out!!!!!!!!!!

Now staying in a small studio with my partner.

Honestly it wasn't a spur of the moment kinda thing, we actually wanted to move in together since monthssssssssssssssss back so we kinda look for places. I originally wanted somewhere in Phileo Dsara or S17 area and we went to the rooms for viewing, they had pretty cheap master bedroom and it's a good location between both of our workplaces but decided against it because we don't feel comfortable sharing bathrooms with strangers haha.

So we decided to rent at Youcity instead which is just 5 mins walk away from my house and 20 mins drive away from his HAHAHAHA. Fuck. I originally was against the idea of living so close to my parents' but ok forget it let's just move here since it's within our budget and we can go back whenever.

It's a very small studio which is non-furnished. So we bought a lot of stuffs, the most expensive one is probably the mattress which we got from a shop in Connaught which offered superb service, A+ 200% will buy from them again. Costs RM1900 for a queen size mattress, but okay it's quite worth it. It's so far the best bed I have ever slept on.

We spent about RM4300 so far for the furnishings and making a house into a home. I think it's fine because most of the items we bought are for long term and can lasts a couple of years. It's pretty much 80% complete as of now, we just need some plants and herbs and then we're done.

But I told him that we will never be done once we start buying plants lolol.

We'll see.

I know RM4300 would be outrageous for a rental unit but we figured this would be our home for a couple of years and both of us prefer homecooked meals so we basically splurged on kitchen stuffs. The refrigerator was already RM700+.

He originally had a budget of RM5K per person lol I was like no way in hell it would be that expensive. Unless we actually bought a unit then yeah because FYI renovation would costs roughly 10% of your unit price.

The figure is pretty much there la for a decent home because it's permanent.

Anyway I'll edit a video on our unit after we get them plants hahahaha.

Since he is working in F&B now with irregular shifts, we kinda split the chores or just do whatever we can to ease each other.

I usually prep my lunchboxes to office because of office politics and I want to save money hahahahaha. So if he works morning shift too then he'll go out slightly earlier than me, means I'll sweep the floor etc before I go to work. Then he'll reach home slightly earlier than me too and prepare our dinner. I'll wash our clothes and he'll clean the dishes.

If he works night shift, he'll walk me to the MRT and clean the house before he leaves. So when I reach home, I'll cook dinner and leave some for his meal before he goes out for night shift. But that means we'll wash our own clothes la of course. Depends. If we're free then we'll wash each other's clothes.

SO FAR SO GOOD LA STILL VERY PEACEFUL.

My parents weren't really against it when I told them I'm moving out so near hahahahaha my mum was just like huh why don't you just stay at home instead but I told them I want ~privaccyyyy~. Perks of being the youngest sister.

His parents were quite against it at first but eventually accepted it because Kajang to his workplace is really freaking far and the traffic is horrible.

I'm fine since I take MRT to work, although it takes me 1 hour from here lolol but still no shared bathroom pls. Maybe we'll upgrade to a better place after sometime but we're fine in this cosy studio for now. Since we both pretty much merged into 1 human being with the same thoughts and lifestyle lol.

I'm also thinking of getting a motor license in the future because fucking KL and its traffic man hahaha. It took me 30 minutes to drive home from Taman freaking Pertama the other day bloody hell.
