Werk life
So I've started working at my intern's company for about 2 months now?
I'm working in Puchong but staying at Cyberjaya provided by my company so yeah. It's about 15 minutes drive from office but since it's free and we can't say no although he asked us to find some cheap rooms ourselves at first, but they were all rejected by my boss -.- lolhe just wants to claim the money for himself since it's his property
The great thing is it's new! and fully furnished by the developer!
The bad thing is there's no facilities lol I mean there's a swimming pool and playground but the other time and the only time we left early from office (like 7pm after dinner), I went to the facilities floor and contemplated on exercising there because there were only cleaners and Bangladeshi workers there wtf.
Now I have nothing against workers but it's slightly scary when you're the only local in the entire floor and there are like tens of foreign workers there.
So I went back up and exercised in my room instead LOL. My housemate didn't follow because she was sick.
The residential is quite new so there weren't a lot of tenants, like I counted maximum 20 cars for our entire tower. Pretty scary at first when we moved in because it's so quiet lol. But there are a lot of international students now since LKW Uni is nearby.
Better than no tenants at all so I'm fine with that.
Back to the topic!
Yes when I'm lucky I get to leave right after working hours. Like once in a month lol. Our hours are until 5.30pm so we'll usually eat dinner around that time and get back to work again.
Yes I have to OT everyday.
No I don't get extra allowance for that lol *internally shouts that engineers are underpaid*
Small company mah like this lor what to do.
I usually get off at 8pm if there's work to do.
When there's a LOT of work to do and dateline is just around the corner I get off at 10pm ish.
I had to go back to office last weekend because we had to rush for tender drawings and technically I'm under the project with my senior so I can't just leave him to die even though I'm just doing fucking drafter's work.

LIKE THIS LORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Then on weekend night I yamcha-ed with my colleague that I used to be very close with last year during my intern, right after rushing my work.
He just had to repeat the same thing over and over again and I was already so sleepy and tired lol.

Basically he stopped being so lifeless working for our company (we work everyday 8am-8pm and even during weekends) because of his health and he transformed and now he's doing part time insurance agent stuff and he tried to recruit me to join his team and I kept rejecting him haha.
I mean I told him I don't mind doing the backstage person job like I'll calculate all those insurance shit for you but if it involves me meeting clients then n-o.
So yeah haha I KNEW HE HAD A SIDE JOB AND HE'S GONNA LEAVE SOON. He's so different now! He used to be so friendly and chill and stuff but we rarely talked now.
So I wasn't that surprised lol. But he also gave me very good advice so I'm half thankful and half annoyed at him because I was this close to sleeping while listening to him repeating the same story.
Hahahahaha sorry not sorry. I ALREADY TOLD HIM I JUST CAME FROM OFFICE AND WE MET AT 9 FREAKING PM.
1. Don't do drafter's job.
2. Learn from my colleagues and offer to help them. Do not do drafting work.
3. Do whatever they ask you to do and just don't get on people's nerves.
4. Know my shit.
5. Don't do drafter's job.
6. Earn money for yourself, don't earn money for your boss.
Hahahahaha. Yeah because only in my company, engineers sometimes have to do drafter's work lol -.-. When you give them work to do, they'll do it wrongly and take a looooooooong time to finish it.
But now I knoooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww.
Cause he said he went for interviews and he couldn't explain why when they asked him what's the use of doing so much drafting work when you're an engineer.
True. Since we do pretty much 50% design and 50% drafting. Unlike other consultants.
Yeah.
I pass my work to the drafters now hahaha so I can do other things. AKU SUDAH TAUUUU.
He told me some nasty things about our work hahahaha. I mean I know how our bosses are like, so I also told him I'm not gonna stay long in the company. Max 2 years probably. Who likes working so many hours everyday?!
Other than my seniors of course. They spend more hours in the office than at home don't ask me why haha.
On a positive note, I get to learn a lot of things very quickly. Because there are so many projects and you're forced to do at least 2 hahaha. So my 1 year of working experience may be equivalent to 2 years.
I don't know la that's just what I think to comfort myself ok I work like hell everyday but it may be unproductive to others hahhahaha.
Like this lorrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I'd like to think that since I graduated at a very young age (compared to others in my industry), I can afford to make few years of mistakes as a fresh graduate hahaha

Work life.
I almost got diao-ed by my senior engineer the other day hahahaha he's really excellent at his work but his temper can be a bit ....... sometimes so we won't be around him when he's not in a good mood.
The layout doesn't tally with the beam detail and the measurement in the layout was completely off. So I'm guessing he got scolded by the contractor on the phone before he showed me. He clicked his tongue loudly at me hahahah I WAS THIS CLOSE TO BEING SCOLDED.
........... but I swear I printed the detail out for him to check and he said OK.
And if I wasn't wrong, he was supposed to edit the layout because he opened the file in his PC and I obviously couldn't edit when he opened the file. So I didn't help him do it because he said he will do it himself.
So he was quite pissed and obviously I didn't say anything to him like it would only make things worse if I said I thought he edit the layout himself lol so I stood there quietly and gulped HAHAHA.
I CANNOT SAY ANYTHING!!!!
Sometimes you just have to take the blame because you know shit will happen if you say another word hahaha.
I kena before a few times by him HAHAHA I'M NOT PROUD OF IT OK.
I'll forget things he told me to do during my internship and he roasted me because of it. IT'S FUCKING HARD TO REMEMBER WHEN YOU'RE DOING DIFFERENT THINGS RANDOMLY EVERYDAY. AND HE HAD FEW PROJECTS SO SOMETIMES I'LL HAVE TO DO THIS AND THE NEXT HOUR I'M SUPPOSED TO DO ANOTHER PROJECT.
I told him I can't remember and he just fucked me with WALAO I HAVE MORE THINGS TO DO THAN YOU, ASKED YOU TO DO SO LITTLE THINGS AND YOU CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER WHAT YOU DID.
So I wrote down everything I did when I went back to work this year HAHAHA.
KENA DIAO ALREADY LAH LESSON LEARNT OK.
