quote

"Society has been freed from the memory of God, from the burden of right and wrong. Soon the last vestiges of ancient authority will be thrown aside. But we are still not free. Sometimes I think we are less free than the people in the past - the people who wrote those poems. Something is controlling us. There is less knowledge, less memory, less culture to keep us in bondage, but we still haven't become what we truly are."

- The Illumination of Merton Browne.

I like this book. Not recommended for kiddos who are not used to reading sex, drugs and power.
