IT WAS EVEN SADDER THAN THE BOOK.

I think the movie's really good. The book's kind of confusing for me with all the characters, but THE MOVIE.

Yes it's based on Chinese cultures and their extreme favouritism for males. But then the story revolves around 4 women and their daughters so yeah. The males get the 'kelefe' roles HAHA.
Nope, there's very little comedy in it so if you're expecting a funny Chinese movie then I'm sorry, this is not the movie to watch.
